I Can! has announced the winners of its grant competition.
This competition was launched to support business projects which are created and run by women. The jury received almost 200 applications from different spheres of entrepreneurship: from making clothes and decorations to restaurants and educational projects.
Have A Rest has won the 100,000-hryvnia grant for making accessories from recycled plastic fabric. The brand cares about the environment and attempts to develop in a sustainable fashion way.
“Love and care are the main values of Have A Rest. And our clients feel that. They were buying our luggage for themselves or as a present even during lockdown. Due to quarantine, we have none of the investments we were expecting to receive. So our development plan has failed. That is why our team decided to take part in this competition. But winning totally surprised us. There were so many talented participants and their impressive businesses!
I, too, had a lot of fears and doubts before starting my own business. That’s why it is so valuable that I Can! helps women confidently move on,” said Have A Rest founder Alina Dolinina.
I Can! project was initiated by Olena’s Pinchuk Fund and Coca-Cola Foundation in 2017. Creating new possibilities for women, increasing their financial independence, and stimulating women's entrepreneurship are the main purposes of the project.
