The new capsule collection from J’amemme and Have A Rest is all about crumpled fabrics and candy colors. The central idea behind Vilna is looking for new meaning in the current Ukrainian reality. The brands’ creative teams wanted to highlight Ukrainian women’s aspiration for freedom in all its forms and their courage to tell themselves, “I am free,” despite all odds.
The collaboration includes cotton outfits complete with shirts, jackets, shorts, and pants featuring signature J’amemme pleats, all of which require no special care on the road and take up little to no space in the luggage. The looks’ color palette comprises Have A Rest’s trademark suitcase colors: Sweet Marshmallow, Sunny Lemon, Wonder Ocean and Summer Sky.

“We have been working on this collaboration since last summer,” J’amemme designer Yuliia Yarmoliuk recounts. “The launch was planned in a somewhat different format, but now, having taken a fresh look at the release, we understand that our collection has gained new, important meanings, and the cultural codes that we use (like choosing wreaths as head accessories for our lookbook) are relevant like never before.”

“Like many other Ukrainians, I am plagued by survivor’s guilt and other thoughts making me beat myself up and forbid myself to enjoy life,” Have a Rest founder Alina Dolinina said. “With this collaboration, we wanted to emphasize that it’s our responsibility to feel free and take care of our mental health, and it gives us strength to carry on, do our job, and support our near and dear ones, all of which also helps us win the war in the end.”

The limited-edition collab articles are already available in both brands’ online stores, with 10% from every purchase going to Masha Efrosinina’s foundation that helps women, children, and older people.
